More About Ally

Allyson Smoot Winters has been teaching private voice lessons for over 5 years now and loves it. She has a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in Music Education and has been singing and teaching her whole life. She has been taking private voice lessons since 2009 and has studied pop, jazz, musical theatre, and classical.
She has been Performing in choirs, a cappella groups and plays for many years with theatre roles such as "Cosette" in Les Miserables and "Belle" in A Christmas Carol at the Hale Center Theatre. She was also a part of a high-level university concert choir where she attended school.

Ally has had many opportunities to educate and work with youth. She student taught choirs at Centennial Middle School and Timpview High in Provo, UT. She was able to create an after-school drama program for at-risk high schoolers. In addition, she worked closely with BYU Vocal Point and Noteworthy as a coach for BYU's youth Remix A Cappella Camp.
Ally desires to help her students learn healthy vocal technique, achieve their personal goals, and learn to love singing. She knows that every voice is unique and hopes that she can make each individual blossom in their own way. She hopes to help students feel the power and joy that music brings to those around them and enjoy the beauty it has brought to her life.
